Running virus infected software in Vmware - can it spread?
hey guys, i was just wondering if it's possible for virus infected software to spread outside the vm machine and into the outside OS, or the real OS?

thanks

Basically no. In theory a network worm might manage it, treating the real OS as another computer on the network. But generally the hosting system is safe. Why do you want to do this?

FYI: I was advised to have the same, good level of security for a virtual computer as you should have for a "real" one.
