Try deleting your Firefox profile.
Open c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles and delete the folder inside it.

Also goto c:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles and copy the Bookmark Backups folder elsewhere
and delete the folder inside it.

Then you can start Firefox from fresh again.

Fire ftp
Thanks Peter. I will give that a go. I suddenly now soo my Fire FTP no longer avail on the folls menu. Not sure if I disabled all the add-ons or what.

Where do I view all my ad-ons and in the event I do download fire ftp again, how do I extract my FTP log in details that was previously setup on Fire FTP

To download addins:

Load Firefox, select the Tools menu, click on Add-ons and on the Get Add-ons tab in the search box enter Fire FTP to download latest add on for Firefox.

Hi Peter, do you have skype? I may not have explained my problem well.

I may have disabled my ad-ons trying to get mozilla to start up. Upon checking today, I lost a menu link under tolls called Fire FTP (not sure if that is an addon or specific download associated with mozilla)

I am afraid to just download a new fireftp, for fear of loosing my current settings and ftp details for many clients i had setup. My question then is, where on my pc would the ftp details be files that was stroed in FireFTP that is no longer listed under the tools menu. How do I retrieve the old one?

Sorry, no I use a normal telephone or mobile.

The current settings are stored in two files:
fireFTPsites.dat
fireFTPprograms.dat

which are in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profilename.defa ult

Back those up and restore them after installing FireFTP and close down Firefox.

I would remove Firefox 4 beta, and install Firefox 3.68 until the full release of Firefox 4 comes later this year and FireFTP is updated as well.
