set up a blogspot. to make it private, chose under permissions to invite people to read it.

1. do readers have to get a google account to read the blog? it seems they can use their own isp email address that i use to invite them, but will this last forever?

2. when clicking on the invitation link, readers are asked to enter their email address and password. if i do not know their password to invite them (i use only the email address) why does google ask for a password? so that when readers try to read the blog again, google knows it is really them? and this goes back to question 1, do they really have to get a google email account?

thanks so much for help on this. just trying to get it right so i do not have 100 people confused.
