Aww Cirrus! That's a painful post to read! Grief seems to surround me this past year.

Try to say hi once in a while.

We care.

Bruce:

Safe trip, my brother in arms. Give jimi and vic a huge hug for me. Wishing I was there but I live north, not west!

I'll keep your seat in CivDeb warm for you until your return!

Cirrus, I am deeply saddened by the news you have posted. You have my thoughts and prayers. We all have had to face tough times but few like the one you face. I hope you find the peace you search for. I myself am having a difficult time in life right now, but far short from yours. I wish you the best on your journey. I say this that all people of this world have faults and some worse than others, but we all must move on and come to understand them.

I have not posted here for somtime I may just fade into the virtual sunset. I have been searching myself for some time for something that has been missing from my life. I spent several weeks thinking on a vacation to no aval. I think the past has finally come to rest in my face and it is time to put it behind me. I have lost some good friends in the last decade and watch my family pass into history. The past half decade has seen me in places no one else would go or do things few could do. I feel as though I have compiled a life time into 15 years. I use to laugh and have fun with those I loved and even strangers, now there is no laughter just a blank expression and a fake laugh here and there. I have been told I have depression to a mid-life crisis at 33. I am just tires and exhausted and want to rest. In 7 months my final contract expires and there will be no more long work days. I think I will start to search for the love of my life as that is what I feel is missing. I see families together and sharing good times and bad. I see this as something i have missed out on and have a longing for. I have had some great times with many good people these many years. I feel I am at a turning point in my life and God has chosen a new path. I have seen birth, death, good and evil. I have witness miracles of eveyday life. I have evan seen the face of death. I write this has an out for some spur of the moment feelings. I feel it is time to leave the old behind and set a new course for new advantures.

Not to down play any of the previous posts, theirs are as serious as it gets. I will be pulling a lot of long shifts over the next month and a half and will have limited time for web surfing. Will check email, but just won't be reading or posting very often. Hope to be back to my lurking self soon...

Cirrus, I too am saddened to hear of your situation. Too many people I know on the net and in real life are leaving these days

May your passage be peaceful and with a loving hand on your shoulder.

Back for a while, unless our union employees go on stike in two weeks... If they do and you live in California, be patient when calling about your SBC bill...

Yeah... Now, I haven't heard from their side, but the company line is that medical insurance costs are rising again and they want the union employees to increase their medical visit co-pay by 7 to 12 %, and get this, bringing their copay cost to less than $6.00. And they still will not have to pay a monthly premium. And they will get a raise.

I have to pay over $150 per month and my copay is $15 per visit.

Again, this is still just what I understand. There may be legitamate reasons on their side.

But, whatever the reasons, if it happens, I will be working 9 to 9, seven days a week until resolved.

Thank you all for your words and thoughts in the PM'S and here. The doctors have said conclusively that it is ALS. They say It may be a year maybe two before the full effects are felt. Life is precious no matter who you are. Enjoy all your moments as if they where the last. I am 35 and shall soon make my way home to God. I wish you all well. I wish you all farewell. May God bless you and your families for all time. I may go to God and finnaly rest in peace. It has been good, it will be better next time, see you all soon.
