#349 | The meteorite was allegedly the size of a computer monitor.

Imagin all of the earth killers out there Lan. We have one approaching very close on June 20th or 21st (something like that)
the theory is that the Ort Cloud out at the edge of our solar system produces many stray earth killers

#354 | Bman-Here is a shot off the video of the meteorite burning up over Washington state. This shot was evidently take from somebody's work place parking lot at 2:40AM. #355 | I have been here less often than normal lately. My significant other had lower back surgery Monday to repair / replace three disks in her back and to realign and then "fuse" four vertebrae. Four hours surgery, a couple hours in recovery, finally to her room about 8:30 p.m.
Doctor said everything went great. She says that something must be wrong cause she is not feeling any pain. Part of that could be the morphine that she has used very sparingly. The other part is that the new alignment has relieved her of her constant pain and that the pain from the surgery is less than what she was used to living with. They have had her up and walking a couple of times, wearing a back brace. They have finally taken her catheter out, and she is going to get to take her first shower today.
She will be in the hospital until Thursday or Friday, but then be at home resting and healing for the next month or so.
Between trying to work, trying to make sure her son stays out of trouble, and still trying to be at the hospital 24 hours a day, I haven't had much time to stop by here. But, I had to stop in today to pass on congrats to the Piston fans. Should be back to my normal lurking by next week...

#357 | Good luck to your sweetie Terry. When Ken had his surgery he was also surprised that his back pain wasn't anywhere near what he was living through. As a result, his recovery was quick. So I'll you both in my prayers and thoughts. | | Community Moderator with 50,226 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2003 Location: Central USA Experience: Need no stinking badges |

#358 | My Brother in California just had lower back surgery yesterday.
He says he already feels better. There was a lot of pain in his leg before the surgery.
