Flowers for Angels
Hey all,

A couple people here thought it would be a great idea if we sent a TSG bouquet of flowers to Angel in the hospital to let her know we are all thinking about her.

I have offered to organize the effort to collect any monies that you wish to contribute and order the flowers.

Here are the flowers I have in mind to send out to her.

(Ladies...feel free to offer suggestions here )

http://www.ftd.com/catalog/product.e...ct_id=C22-3062

This bouquet of pink alstroemeria, purple lisianthus, white daisies, and other soft blooms arranged in a glass vase expresses your love or friendship.
Approx. 19H x 16W

I will adjust the bouquet size and style based on the total funds received.

The suggested donation is between $2-$4. Additional funds received will either be applied to balloons and cards, or returned to you.

My goal is have them delivered on Sunday.
I contacted FTD and was assured that any order placed before noon Eastern standard time on Sunday would be delivered that day.

Anyone interested in making a donation for the flowers can make a payment to my PAYPAL account (http://paypal.com) username: gws@goldenretirement.com Please also send me a PM with your email address and donation amount so I can track payments. Fee free to PM me or IM me (Ghstryder78) if you have any questions or suggestions.

The Flowers for Angels Foundation
Suggested Donation amount: $2-4
Pay to PayPal account: gws@goldenretirement.com
Please make all payments before 12 noon Eastern Standard Time Tuesday Jan 20' Remember to PM me your donation amount and email address
Flowers to be delivered: Afternoon Tuesday Jan 20.

I will be back online around 9:30 Eastern tonight to answer questions.

George

Thanks

Thanks Kath.

Everyone,
Please Remember to also send me a PM with your donation amount and Email address. That way I can track which TSG usernames are associated with each email address... and provide you with confirmations .

Hi all ......... I just stopped in to see if there were updates on Angel,
and I noticed your posting for flowers.

Don't get me wrong ...... because I think this is a wonderful idea - I guess I am looking at it from the standpoint of someone who suffers with lung problems.

If people suffer from things as asthma, any lung disease or problems ... they can find it hard to handle scented things - be it flowers, perfume etc. ........ just a thought .

maybe a re-consideration of " silk " flower arrangement or something similar ????

Silk flowers would be a much better idea, IMHO!!

Good Point Lu!!

I was going to suggest that I could set this up at the o'Gills site easily enough, but having the PayPal is just as handy, I suppose.

Chari - I got you covered. If you have already gotten someone else to cover you, then no worries, but you could always "pay me back" via my site. Let me know by PM, OK?

George, Payment sent along with a PM!

Just so you know...I have moderate Asthma and flowers do not bother me at all. When Marlene was talking about how hard it was for her to breathe without her oxygen, I asked her if she has Asthma or allergies or anything that might complicate the symptoms and she said no that it was just the clot making her labor. So I really dont think the smell of flowers will act as a trigger the way they do with lung diseases. I could be wrong but thats what makes most sense to me anyways. Strong odors are triggers for people with Asthma but I dont think they are triggers for people with blood clots. I think they are two totally separate issues.

Just my two cents worth anyways.

Evening everyone

Thank you all for the contributions so far. I have received news this evening (thank you Val) that Angel's stay may be a little longer than I orginally thought...(into the new week)

With that in mind I have decided to extend the deadline for donations to Tuesday morning.

I have currently recieved $55...with some additional funds promised soon.

Our new goal is to also get a Thank you gift for William as well so anyone that has not contributed please do so now... even a dollar or two would go a long way.

Anyone that does not have a Paypal account please contact me to make other arrangements.

Thanks again.
George

Ok, I've just put one in for oldie.

this brings up a point. If there people who want to do this, but don't want to register for paypal, don't want to post money, and have a credit card, then you can go to my site and put an order in there

You go to... Link removed at RandyG's request...Enter your TSg Username and Add the item to your cart, click on "Sign in" at the center top portion of the page.

Sign in using the following
E-mail: gws@goldenretirement.com
Password: flowers
click "sign in" button

Click the continue button on the following page

Click Checkout button at top right of the page

this is the address confirmation page. If the currency is fine, then just Click on Continue button at bottom right. If you want to change to a different currency, then change the Send To country.

Click the Go button at bottom right

Enter your Credit Card details and click Submit.

The confirmation of order will go straight to gws, as I have used his email address.

gws will know how many orders were placed on my site, and any of you can check as well by going to the site, logging in with the above username and password, clicking on the gws@goldenretirement.com logged in link at the top, and then clicking on Click here to view orders

i will put a Paypal in to gws on Tuesday covering the amount that has been placed on the site.

This is just an alternative, and no onw has to do a thing about it.

i just thought I would make it easier for anyone that would like to donate

Randy,
Thank you for offering to use your website to help process transactions

This morning I awoke to some very generous donations from many new people.... Thank you. Based on the initial out-pouring of donations I expect that by Tuesday morning we will have enough funds to select a beautiful bouquet for Angel as well as a thank you gift for William

Below is a list of whom I have promised/received donations from so far. (Some of donations have yet to be received....new paypal accounts holders, and people sending donations via mail.... please remember to follow through accordingly )

If your name is not on this list then I have either not recieved your donation or the promise of your donation...please contact me immediately so we can straighten it out)
