Thanks everyone.

Its the next few days that will be bad, as his medication will be stopped in 3 days. I'll keep you all informed, but it may be via Pat.

eddie:
My heart goes out to you and your family. My favorite person in the whole world was my GrandDad. I was devastated when he had a stroke. Can surely empathize with you. Very best wishes for him and to you. MaryAnn.

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts

The thing is, my mum also ahd a stroke about 4 years ago, but in the same time as my grandad is in, she could walk and talk, but didn't know who we were. She has made a full recovery, but still has little memory lapses now and then.

I've phoned the other half of my family, my dads side, as they don't seem to 'talk' to each side. Some big thing years ago.

It was a bit hard explaining what was happening, but as I say, he may pull through. Will find out this week what the doctors say

I sure hope he pulls through and can get back to his life soon! If a stroke is treated fairly quickly nowadays there is much more hope with the use of t-PA and the likes. I wish your Grandpa well and hope he has a speedy recovery!! Take care! angel *Hugs*
