PrezB, moron or not, does not change the situation down near new orleans. People are still fighting for their lives in the floodwaters. I know my money helps, but I would rather be down there myself helping with the relief effort. I feel useless right now

I don't give to Red Cross. I direct mine to where there is no over-head. In this instance I will be donating money at my church which will go directly to our disaster aid group. We have a fund (nation wide) and people trained for disaster aid, and they swung into action Aug 31, all volunteers taking cooking facilities and food to NO. They are always ready for world wide disasters.

I am also going to go to WalMart to see if they are still loading trucks for NO, if so I will purchase some goods to go there. I don't pay overhead!!
