Thumbs up Competitive Awesome
I know this is just for a Birthdays posting, but I didn't know where else to post this as not to offend anyone. Thxs

So I don't really use blogs a lot, but I wanted to post this somewhere becasue I was just so geeked out about this show I saw. I wanted to create a little buzz for them, because they were so funny!
I was visiting friends in Los Angeles and saw them, just by chance. So here goes:

I don't know if anybody else has heard of this Comedy Duo, Competitive Awesome from Chicago...but I just saw them in Los Angeles last Monday. They were amazing. I never post crap like this, but I feel compelled to in this case. I've never really been blown away by live sketch comedy and this was a first. These guys are going to be huge. So, spread the word...remember, I told you first.

Kind of hard to tell if they are funny or not from the reviews since I don't take much stock in reviews. It's kind of like food critics critiquing food, it's way too subjective.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Lets see. The thread starter has 3 posts in total and all are in this thread. The thread starter is from Chicago and LA. The performers are from Chicago and are in LA where the thread starter just happens to be and is able to take in the show.. Coincidence or advertising???? I hope it's coincidence and if so welcome to TSG.

Angry Wow...
Well, the last three posts weren’t to kind. If you had in fact read all of my posts you would have understood that I am trying to spread the word about this comedy duo. NOT advertising, because they aren't paying me to do this. They just really made me laugh. It's good to see that people are very cynical here at TSG. If you don't want to go to their website then don't. Geeze...

With all due respect I don't think I was being unkind. Here's what I closed my post with....

Sounds like quite funny & entertaining duo.

I think I hear a 3 hour road trip to the Windy City [one of my favourite towns] sometime soon coming up...

PS: just to put the cynical minds to ease, are you affiliated at all w/ this group, or just a regular person who was in the audience, and now just sharing the news of this group? No offence, but as you may or may not know, people have said, claimed, etc. stuff here in TSG before, only to hurt, disappoint, etc. many. Much more better to be upfront and honest. And again, welcome to TSG.

With that said, thanks again for the link and info - seriously. Bummer tho, as according to their calendar, nothing in Chi-town except for the Sketchfest - which looks interesting/good, but don't know about the other groups, and timing for this weekend.
