Just watched the Memorial service held for Steve at the Australia Zoo Crococeum.

I cried, I laughed, I cried some more.

The Australian Prime Minister spoke, as did an Australian senator. A professor from one of the foremost scientific research centers in Australia had said that they had, just before Steve died, decided to make him an adjunct professor for all of Steve's work and help with research that he had done for the center over the years. They said that he had always shown a professionalism and passion for the work and that he had all the qualities that make a true scientist. So he can technically now be known as Professor Steve Irwin.

Justin Timberlake spoke, Larry King spoke, Cameron Diaz, Kelly Rippa, and of course Steve's mates. The most moving tribute came from little Bindi Irwin. That one did me in totally. I bawled.

It was a lovely tribute and incredibly well done.

You can lead a horse to water........and Jack Bauer can make him drink.

Forgot to say that Russell Crowe, evidently a close friend of Steve's, also had some very moving words.

Hi Laura: Yes...Bindi's eulogy was beautiful and inspiring...she is a little girl whose maturity at that moment was heartfelt, lovely and beyond her age!! And she looks just like her Daddy!
