I haven't been posting here as often anymore... not much time with school and all... but maybe this story can explain why.
I just got back from an Awards Ceremony at my high school. About 2000 people attend my school. Myself, along with many friends and many others, were on the Honour Roll and recognized tonight for having overall averages over 80%.
Later in the evening, the Principal and Vice Principal called me up for having the highest average not only in grade 10 (last year, 11 now) but the entire school. 96.1% overall (and 100 in math to boot).
I received the Joe Hugel Award which is a nice plaque for the highest average of a grade 10 student, I'm getting a cheque for $50 to go along with the award from the school board next week, and the Honour Roll certificate.
It was a really fun night, and after walking off the stage everybody along the aisles and got out of there seat and stuck there hand out for a high-five as I walked from one end of the gymnasium to the other.
Wish I had a digital camera and I'd post the pictures of the ceremony and the hardware, but awesome evening nonetheless.
