Hehehehe,..........everytime I hear that now, I think of the movie "Cars." My five-year-old son is obsessed with it.

Welcome to the new moderators! I think they are great choices with the possible exception of LAN--and maybe iltos--and possibly Ciberblade--OK--Laura is the only decent one!

I feel a few words are in order here--so moderators, Mike, please indulge me.

To clarify--I NEVER wanted to be a moderator in CD and Random--I was chosen as a moderator years ago before there was a CD or Random and as a tech moderator. Unfortunately, over the years, because I spent a lot of time there and participated, I came to be known as the moderator of CD and Random. So, I have been wanting to resign for that reason for quite some time, the main reason I didn't is because I always thought that maybe the CD and Random forums would be shut down if I resigned. However, now that we have four new "true" Community Moderators, they will make sure that what I beleive to be a very important part of this site will continue.

Also, what I would ask people to remember is that iltos, LAN, and ciberblade are also participants in the forums (Laura spends or at least has spent much less time actually participating). Its is NOT their job as it never was mine to moderate debates in the sense that they are neutral and keep the debates on topic, etc--its seems some people could never understand that. They are there solely to stop personal attacks and keep order and some housekeeping. So cut them some slack and don't expect them to be neutrals--they are volunteers and its no fun being in that forum purely to serve as a moderator.

And finally, the vast majority of people here were always great to me for the most part and for that I thank you --for the people who weren't, they were in the small minorty, fortunately. I personally am glad there are now rules that apply to the busy bodies on the fourm--essentiallty, mind your own business unless someone's conduct is directly affecting you!!! These moderators are not baby sitters, they are not morality enforcers, they are not here to suit you alone--they are here to keep harmony, which wouldn't even be necessary if we didn't have people pre-occupied with finding fault in other people.

So I apologize to the great majority of members that had to endure this rant--it is directed at a small minority and they know who they are.

Phew--that felt good!!!

Also, since I am no longer a moderator, I would ask the new moderators or any other moderator here to please remove any negative comments that any members make here towards me--I don't have to put up with that crap anymore and I'm not going to!

congrats to all involved, and I do laud Mulder on his resignation. Hope that the site continues to be as fun and as knowledgeable as it has to me in that past two years, and that the new mods know what they are getting into.

Lord knows I wouldn't take that job.
