Changes in Moderator Staff
First of all, I'm very glad to officially announce our brand new Community Moderators: Ciberblade, LANMaster, iltos, and LauraMJ . These kind people have taken up the responsibility of watching over the Community forums (including Random Discussion and Civilized Debate) in order to try to maintain the friendly and kind atmosphere of TSG. They have also taken the time to write some Community Guidlines describing acceptable conduct. Please take a moment to read what they've come up with, and please join me in welcoming them in this new position. We all know that they will be up against more than a few challenges, and I want to thank them for stepping up and being willing to help out for the good of the group.

I'd also like to announce that Mulder has resigned as Moderator. I'm sure that he will still be around (we can't get rid of him that easily!), but he will no longer be acting as Moderator now that we have some new people to oversee the Community forums. Mulder has asked that that there be no threads started on the topic of his resignation, so if you have any questions or comments, I guess it's best to PM him directly. He told me that he thinks it's just time to pass the torch to some new people.

Thanks in advance for your patience and co-operation as we work to get things in the Community forums stabilized so that they can be enjoyed for years to come!

I for one am very pleased to see this has been made official and implemented,a very positive step has been taken to ensure the very good name of this site ....good luck to the new Moderators in your quest

My own personal thoughts on this are that now the doors are now opened to members to post in these forums now they are moderated, because not everyone has a thick skin and were perhaps a bit sceptical about posting before ....

Many thanks Mike and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ....

I hate that Mulder resigned but that is his choice. He is one great guy that has taken it on the chin here for as long as I have been here.

Enough is enough and I respect his decision. I do not have to like it, but I do have to respect it.

Thank you for alerting us, and for keeping this site in good condition.

Mulder.... I must say thank you for all you've done as a moderator.

Excellent choices all around. I'm happy to see some positive changes going on.

Mulder did what was best for him. I hope this does not mean his diminished presence on the boards.

I've read the new rules and think they are very fair. I hope the new changes will allow for some great debate without too much of the personality clashes that often get in the way. I love that there will still be bantering....much of it was entertaining when you understood that it was between friends. But its great that now any person can ask for it to stop if they feel that its being taken too far against them personally.

I love all the new mods and still love the old mods too. I hope everyone can take a deep breath and that we can all start over and try to adjust to the changes without causing too much work for the new mods.

*rolls out the welcome wagon*

Laura, Mike, Thomas and Bob....welcome to TSG...may God have mercy on your souls!

I don't have a problem with the new mods. I know them all. I am sorry you quit Chris but I am sure you had your reasons.

I woulda quit 5 years ago if I were you. You have really been dragged through the wringer here. Sorry it happened but now we are even.
