update on my moma
Becky Terreberry January 30, 2007 at 04:20 PM EST
Well I dont want to discourage anyone, but things are definitely not going so well right now. I guess a few set backs and the breathing tubes are back in. The nurse told me my mom is stable and not to worry. I cant help it though, I feel like she is just trying to make me feel better. umm I feel like maybe they were rushing and didnt give her enough time to actually adapt to the lungs. Im not a doctor but that is how i feel. I knew it was just too good to be true I think. But thanks everyone for their support and I will keep you guys updated on how she is doing. Im still convinced she is going to be alright and everything is going to work out great... so as long as everyone feels the same as me, hopefully it will come true. I miss her and I love her and I hope she comes come soon. That would be great. Also, my test went great! my teacher let me have an extra day to study, which I needed and it worked out good for me.
Thanks for caring
Becky

Sorry to read this update, so I'm doubling up on the thoughts and good vibes for Lu.
Try not to worry, Becky. She's in the best hands and under excellent care. I know she'll be fine. (((HUGS)))

Sooky:

Hang In There

Hello, my friend; You’re on my mind,
Because you're somehow ailing,
But your response to any challenge
Has always been unfailing.

So I’m confident you’ll win again;
Hang in there, and you’ll see;
You’ll be back on top in no time,
Tackling life courageously.

Its very early days yet Becky,this is a major operation your Mom had and it takes time to recover from,but she will of course each day will bring a little improvement and you need to be strong for her,and let her see you that way ...in a weeks time you will see a massive improvement,and you will be wondering what you were worrying about its hard of course,very hard,but its important you look on the bright side ...the alternative to your Mom having this surgery doesnt bear thinking about does it ? so please be strong,be brave for her ...all of us here will be thinking of her,and you too of course,you are both continually in our thoughts ...take care Becky

Lung transplantation is major surgery...and with that can come minor and major setbacks! These are to be expected...it has only been four days since Lu's surgery...her recovery is dependent on many things...and a positive attitude is one factor we can help her with! With all these thoughts and prayers coming Lu's way...we can help her spiritually!

Becky...send my love and prayers to your Mom! God bless you Luanne...He will see you through this...I know you have faith! Sending many, many prayers your way...much love: Marlene
