Luannes friend update........

"Hi Becky"
Wanda Northrup February 03, 2007 at 12:01 AM EST

Hi, Sweety, was in to see your Mom today and she is looking awesome. I was so happy to see her.She is doing really great. No oxygen at all breathing on her own. Still hooked up to a couple tubes but they are soon to come out.,from what the nurses were thinking and possible if things keep going the way they are she could be on the 7th floor tomorrow. Will stop in again next week and see her again.God Bless..

Update!!
Becky Terreberry February 03, 2007 at 05:25 PM EST
Ididnt realize that my last message was such a downer and kind of left you guys hanging!

so im sorry! BUT I went and saw my mom today and I got to talk to her and get the update and so I can tell you so far what I know, from seeing her with my own eyes.
Basically the bottom line is, She looks great!!! honestly, i cant remember the last time I saw my mom look so good. Swollen face and all! lol

umm everything is looking great ... she is in the step down unit on floor 7a in room 166 Im pretty sure. She also got a phone put in her room today so if you guys want to call her and give her some support Im sure she would love it. Except right now I dont know the number, but when i get it, i will be sure to post it!

She did an O2 test today while I was there and they said it was at 98!!!! which to me is just amazing because a week ago, she couldnt even well, do anything really. Im just soooo happy!!!

I did her hair, so if you get a chance to go see her, she will look great. I cant wait until she comes home, which hopefully is soon. She is such a trooper and I miss her so much.

Hello everyone.

I spoke to Lu in Toronto General Hospital today. To think that she was there in the hospital in Canada and me in England! She thinks she'll be there for another week or so, if all goes to plan, and then be home. It was amazing to hear her speaking, using her new lungs. She now has a telephone in her room and if you ring the hospitalask for her by name and they'll put you through to her unit. She didn't know the extension number of her room at the time I spoke to her.

What a brave person! All my love and best wishes to you, Lu. Looking forward to you being home again and back with us all.

Hello everyone. I just spoke with Luanne on the phone @ 1:00pm Sunday Feb 4th. She appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayers. She welcomes everyone to call her @ 1-416-340-3131 ext # 7169. If she can't talk at the time you call her, then she'll tell you. She still has some discomfort but is doing fine. She is taking it one day at a time. She is taking a nap right now. I would suggest calling around supper time or early evening.
