And she just had a bone density scan done and she is improving.

When my mother was alive she had osteoporosis and they hadn't come out with these meds then. It is wonderful how medical science has advanced for so many things.

We are such complex beings ........ what works for one does not work for another! It is truly a miracle how medical science has advanced. I marvel when I talk with my Dad who is 87 almost 88 years old and the changes that he had experienced and seen in his lifetime is truly amazing and how far technology has come!

Yes, transplants, therapies for cancer and other diseases. I have met several people in the past year who have hepatitis C. A few got it from blood transfusions in the 80's and one was a young man that experimented with drugs in his late teens. All of them have been through a rugged therapy where they can live normal lives. A young man at our church right now is waiting for a kidney. My brother had a wrist replacement last year due to rheumatoid arthritis. And now people like you and Katonca (Dave) have transplants that saved your lives. Twenty years ago a lot of this was unheard of or so new people still died because it was still experimental. Sleep well...I am headed to bed. Good night and HUGS

Yes, that is so very true grandma ............. can you even imagine where medical science and technology will be in the next 50, let alone 100 years. I can't even imagine ..... mind boggling! We had our time change this morning ..... my system likes this change better than in the fall when we gain an hour go figure!

Lu, My system likes it the other way. But it isn't bad...just a couple of days or so to get use when to go to bed and when to wake up. I wish medical science would come up with a cure or vaccine for cancer. That would be the greatest. Lots of friends with cancer.

Hi Robby...have a good week

Thank you all for the words of encouragement and well wishes! I was
spared having to go to Toronto until this week coming up - yippie.

Lucky You!!I'm so glad you're getting a rest from it all!! Big Hugs!!

I'd put in for the passport sooner rather than later as I've heard there is quite a backlog there...

Great job there Penny; your weather is far ahead of ours ........ we are still under snow!

My blood work from Tuesday in Toronto came back good! Wednesday evening I started sneezing and "barking" again. I couldn't get an appointment with me Family Doctor until tomorrow ( yes, Saturday) so hopefully he will put me on some antibiotics again. I sure didn't see this one coming!
