I am leaving
As I cannot agree to the forum rules, I have decided to leave techguy.org

During my time here I have helped solve many user questions with pride
If I have offended anyone with my answers and later seen the error of my response I have firstly apologized then rectified with a new response immediately. (we all make mistakes, but sadly these are the ones which are usually remembered)

Although, I feel with the amount of happily Solved users out there, far out way these times, I believe respect both from myself to others (support members) and them to me has dropped significantly of late.

Basically support people should be able to help Solve any Windows issue.
Not restricted in the help they freely give, whatever the legitimate source. (ie Microsoft)

I can be found at other tech forums across the net (Solving problems and seeing them through without restriction)

I wish Techguy.org its members (either offering support or asking for support) all the best.

Specifically:

No password retrieval support (MS give this freely by the way)
No Malware support (Not even a comment allowed - note this can happen mid-way through a solution - very irritating)
No history comments without posting link from source (Well as all faults have been researched by all forums, worldwide, which link do they want)

?No comprendo?.. Do you mean teh Windblow$ password?

    The Rules:
    • Log Analysis/Malware Removal - In order to ensure that advice given to users is consistent and of the highest quality[..].

So is THIS why there aren't any cool links/nor any info regarding startup items, etc (Lavasoft, etc., etc.)? o.0
  • No history comments without posting link from source
Can anyone help clarify the meaning of this?!??

Goodbye and good luck. Usually one reads the rules BEFORE joining

May as well mark this solved and close it

Oh, and I'll address this confusion:

A link was copied and pasted, verbatim from a cracking site no less. As with articles, etc. copied and pasted from other websites, you should provide a link to the source. I.E. when quoting from a MS KB article, is it asking too much to include the link to the source? Not sure what he meant by "history comments.........."

Just a reminder that the Rules are available at http://www.techguy.org/rules.html (and there is also a link at the top of every page).
