Sadly, it will be at least Friday before we know anything about it because it will take the person in charge of the estate that long to get back from their business trip. I don't know...surprisingly I'm just not worried about this one--I don't know if that's good or bad, but I'm just unconcerned at this point. Maybe I'm finally over tying myself into knots about a house...that would be nice. Anyway, I suppose I should be off to bed. G'night everyone.
Good luck!

Good Luck!, Im sure maybe whatever is right will come out of it.
I should think its more maybe mentally you can't be bothered to worry about it, after the last line up of events. - Or prehaps your just too busy with other thing - whatever reason it is, surely its got to be better!

Yeah, they countered with a higher number, so we rejected it. We knew going in that the number we offered was absolutely the most we could do. (And actually, it may have been a bit higher than we should have gone--so it might be for the best that we got countered.)

So it's back to square one I guess. I don't know--the housing market has come to a standstill, so I'm thinking that maybe in a few more weeks we might try again. We'll keep our offer the same and instead of offering to take on the closing costs, we'll request them to pay it--that will get us back where we want to be. They seem to think that just because everyone in town is nosey that they are going to sell the place for what they want (which is a bit high), but they seem to forget the small town penchant for noseyness... Especially when the former owners were a bit on the reclusive side...

Hope it all works out. I know if I am anxious to see you get into a home of your own, I know you are even more so. I know one thing for sure, when you do get a house you will be grateful and thrilled. It will mean more to you than someone who got it all the first time around.

Becca, Im sorry to hear it fell though again
Prehaps it was just never meant to happen

I know exactly what you mean about the housing market thought. I don't know about America, but it only seams to be the big houses which are selling.

My Dad's two houses he built sltill haven't sold..and were practically giving them away now lol, I really don't know whats going on lol!

Oh well, thats life I guess isn't it! - I just hope the best thing happens for you and your hubby Becca
