I can't believe I didn't get his phone number or a way to contact him. How stupid can I be? I was so busy with my own work, I totally forgot that I needed a way to reach out to him if something like this happened. Just never occurred to me that he would be gone for so long. Oh how I wish ..... benefit of hindsight [sighs].
