55, woweee!!! Congratulations!!!

And silly me, I was under the impression people didn't stay together for too long over there and that it only happened here.

Thank You jesseem for your good wishes well it doesnt happen over here very often nowadays because the modern trend is not to get married at all they just live together, there are of course some marriages but the majority just dont bother ....we oldies over here were born in different times, greatly different to what they are now and were raised through childhood very differently too,the marriage vows meant something then For richer or for poorer ,through sickness and health, and most important till death do us part so thats why you get the long term marriages amongst only the oldie ones

With some exceptions, of course, Tom. There's a couple near me in their late 30's now, married at 16, with great grandchildren in the picture - still going strong - but the trend is as you say.

Hope you're having a very good weekend.

Yup, till death do us part, that's the way I like it. And I'm not an oldie.

But unfortunately westernization is killing that culture and tradition here. You should see the line in front of the family court waiting for divorce.
