But one thing...if you look at the member list

there are "only" 47,056 members - a far cry from 500,000 - and that includes some people, like Candy, who have decided to get away (at least for awhile)>
So wherein lies the difference? That many (452,944) spammers and banned people?

And could a difference in counting members be the cause of the large disparity between Sysinternals (with their 24,434 members) and here?

Ahhhh....
Nowhere on the page does it say that...boy, that means that out of every 10 people who join, only about .5 become active - as defined as having 10 or more posts. Sigh.

The sad truth is that most of the 500,000 users never visit. Maybe it's time to send a reminder email to those who haven't been here in a long time. Most people join, post a question, and forget about us!

Well, as of now more than 2,000 people have joined TSG since then, so you may have been in the first 2,000 since but probably not the first 200 after.

Looks like Techgoy was the 2,726th person to join since Josllyne. The 2,726 number probably includes spammers whose accounts have been deleted though, and shouldn't be counted, but I have no way to see how many there were.

Other than the 7 that have been reported since Josllyne joined in the Spam Reporters thread. I'd bet there are several that weren't reported there though.
