WhitPhil has Passed Away
We are sorry to announce that one of our TSG members, WhitPhil, lost his battle with cancer last month. WhitPhil was a TSG Trusted Advisor and a longtime member here. WhitPhil was known for his wonderful online personality, his patience with helping people here, and his extensive knowledge of computers. He will be greatly missed by us.

This is indeed a very sad day. WhitPhil was well-liked and respected here at TSG and will be greatly missed. His tireless efforts to help others with his unmeasurable contribution to the technical community and kind spirit will never be forgotten.

He's helped me out many times as well and in a most friendly manner...
was always on the look out for his posts because I knew they would be helpful.
The man knew what he was talking about, and he'll be missed sorely...not only on TSG, but across the web...where his presence and influence remain as a testament to his knowledge and commitment to helping others...

On the few occasions I came across him helping, my impression was always "how is it possible for a person to be so ... unassuming?". Thus: lovely bloke, crappy news, "thanks".
