What do I have to do to end this message
“Connection failed: Application folder ([install-location]/applications/:80) is missing.”
I'm using a Mac OS 10.5.8 MacBook2,1
I get it when I try and run the video.
Do I need to install something?

Can you give more details.

Is this a video you are trying to play from a web site in a browser? (which I suspect)
Is a video you downloaded you are trying to play with a specific app?

If it's online can you provide a link?
Does it require a plugin? (aka is it flash based video)

From the current information my best guess would be that you are trying to play a video that requires a plugin or 3rd party software. That software does not appear to be on your computer, but it was at one time.

it is a problem their end & nothing you can do about it apart from keep trying and wait for them to fix it
