Hi Guys,
I recently bought a mac and am just gettting used to it. I do like it right now, but i really don't know much about them. I went onto MTV to watch a video and a message came up telling me that there is no default application to watch videos. I tried to do it manually, but I could not pick the Quicktime for some reason or another.

Also, how do you install applications. When I try, all it does is save it to the desktop.

Chances are the videos were in Windows Media Player format. Hence, you'll need the Windows Media Player for the Mac OS.

Great, that does help, but how do you download this to Mac OSX? I know it's not like a windows download...

Actually it is about the same as a windows download. I just purchased a powerbook g5 15" 3 weeks ago and installed it. Works great.
