is there a way
to record audio when audio is playing? i have a video file that i would like to get some of the audio from it.

YES .....Record what your computer is playing and Edit it ....

ahh i totally forgot about that program! I use that for the PC... didn't even think about it for the Mac. I will try it.

You can also do it with QuickTime Pro as well.

thanks guys.

though i tried Audacity and it only seems to pick up from the mic; i can't seem to find it to switch it to the 'sound card' or line in (i guess)... any suggestions?
