Problem with network on eMac's
Hey guys just needing some help, which would help my boss a lot(and me)

We brought 40 new eMac's for the School in which i work, i'm only a trainee and not that good with Mac's, anyway ill tell you the problem.

First off though, we are running windows server 2k3 and it is running Active Directory, the macs are then hooked up to the domain in whatever way, as i said im not that good at this stuff yet, the computers can connect to the AD server fine and the students can login, the problem comes when they log out.

When the students log out it will leave their profile on the computer and not delete them, this becomes a problem after a while as the computers will begin to run out of space. We did have a fix in which a cleanup script would run but this script doesn't like being on a domain, so when it did delete the profile once the students logged off sometimes the computer would just freeze up, you can't do anything only turn it off, if you turn it off then turn it back on, then it appears that this will delete the HDD for whatever reason, making us re-image them, this is a big waste of time.

If you want any more info just post and i will try and answer it for you, my boss has an idea about shadowing, so when the student logs on this hook script runs and loads a default user profile or something and then unmounts when the student logs off, don't ask me how this works but he said it would take a long time to make it work.

Thanks for your help, hopefully i wasn't to vague and someone could point me in the right direction.

sitchy, silly question, but when these 40 eMacs were bought, did they come w/ any support for such an application? Just curious, cause I have no idea how to assist ya, but thought surely that the vendor should have an idea? BTW, welcome to TSG! Sorry can't be of more help.
