Exclamation ethernet to pc?
i have a friend who uses macs a lot and i have a PPC G3 powerbook
i get the general idea behind macs and i like it
my friend just plugged an ethernet cable directly between our laptops and transfered files to mine
i wondered if this was possible to do to between my laptop and my wintel PC so that they could share the internet or even just transfer files
do i need some special software to do this?

If you are using high speed internet at home. There is possible for you to share the internet and tranfer files between your pc and your laptop.

You can get a router and this will allow all your pc/laptops online at the same time.

To have the files transfer, open system preferences, click on sharing, then check both Personal File Sharing and Windows Sharing. This will allow you to transfer between your pc and your laptop.
