Question Solved: Can't play CDs
Obviously, I'm missing something... I have just switched to Mac and am learning how to use my gorgeous new PowerBook. My old infuriating PC plays a CD as soon as I put it in the drive, but this doesn't work on my Mac. What am I missing? Thanks.

Does a cd icon even show up on desktop? If so, does it play, if you double click the icon?
Sounds like your auto-run may be disabled.

New Powerbook..................... probably OSX? I would know more things to try, with older system..........
Good luck!

Thanks
Thanks for your reply... I just had the volume too low and couldn't hear it over the noise that the combo drive makes.
