Come feel my mouse
I have been using PCs forever, and I like the way the mouse "feels".

(by feels, I am referring to the way the cursor moves, not the way it physically feels in you hand)

By comparison, the mac mouse is very sluggish, and it has something to do with the software, because the same mouse which works great on my windoze system, and great under linux, has the same problem under OSX.

the question is, does anyone know of a utility, or perhaps a deice driver that can make the mac mouse move like a PC mouse?

thanks,

Nick

yes, to clarify, i love the way it works under the windows OS, but it is the mac OS that seems to be a bit slow.

on the mac, it feels like I'm dragging the pointer through molasses. the mac only has a speed control. all the way down i is uncomfortable slow, all the way up it is a good speed, but inaccurate.

i think what i need is a way to disable the "acceleration" feature in OS x, so that it moves at the same speed regardless of how fast i move the mouse.

In OS X: Apple Menu/System Preferences/Keyboard & Mouse pane

Adjust the tracking speed as you wish.
