Question automatic internet disconnect on mac
I have an Apple Powerbook G4 with Mac OS X version 10.3.9. Connected to the internet through a DSL hookup.
My problem is that after 15 minutes I get a message that wants to know if I still want to be connected to the internet. If I am not at the machine is automatically disconnects. This is usually okay but when downloading large files I must set by the machine and baby sit it to keep it from disconnecting.
I am sure there must be a simple setting to change this but have spent hours looking in every place imaginable and still have not found anything.
Can someone please help.
Thanks

PS I also have a PC which I use on the same hookup to the internet and I have no problem with getting disconnected so it can't be the ISP.

ask your isp they may have a better idea I can think of nothing in network preferences that is related to a time prompt only in dial up mihgt be your isp software? Just a guess that your isp installed some connection software on your mac.......
