Bittorrent Really Slow
Hi I just installed bittorrent on my old imac g3 that is running panther now i know that is horribly slow to begin with but how come my BT downloads are so slow they max like 10kb/s where limewire can easy get over 200kb/s with enough hosts. I have adsl so i does anybody know why its so slow?

You are totally at the mercy of whatever connections you make to others' computers. Go to the View menu and select "Peer Detail" and you'll see the upload/download speed associated with each peer.

Ya I did that and they were all really slow but then i went lookin for a different Bt program and downloaded transmission then my speeds jumped right back up to were they should be and that was with the same file so I gonna have to boycott the original bittorrent program for mac os x. !
