New mac need help
Hello...I have recently acquired a new ibook. It is used from a friend that I am no longer in contact with. I am unable to login or create a new account if there is any way to
A. create a new account on Mac os x without having to log in.
B. wipe the hard drive totally with out the disk.

U need the installation disks that would have come with the mac.

Boot from the CD drive holding down the C key, then go to File/Reset Password to whatever you want.

Was it stored for a while?
I don't see how if you just got it you are no longer in contact with the person.

You could purchase a retail version of osx and install if the ibook can handle it.

Otherwise, there is no way to do it legally.
