Startup drive near max. Safe files to move?
I've never maxed out a a startup drive since using OS-X until now.

I installed an internal slave drive but I am apprehensive about moving such files as iPhoto, iTunes and other data files to a different location.

2 Questions:

(1) Besides documents, which files are safe to delete from the startup after backup to the slave?
(2) Will I disrupt the "find" function of my applications if I have moved their cataloged files?

Startup:
Capacity: 74.53 GB, Available: 354.75 MB

Slave:
Capacity: 127.87 GB, Available: 121.76 GB

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Richard.

I am not sure which ones are safe, but I have had issues after moving Apple apps from the applications folder on an existing drive. When I first install OSX I find it okay to move apps, but it throws preferences hairwire to move any application from it's location. In my experience.

Thanks for the reply. I too, have had similar bad luck in moving things around so now I'm older and wise enough to ask for advice.
Regards, Richard

Usually I set up everything that I can in another drive on my G3s, because of the OSX 8GB limit. On anything else i just put them in the apps folder.
