File/app transfer between Mac SE and Performa 6200CD
Objective: transfer files/applications between a Mac SE and Mac Performa 6200CD using floppy disks.

Problem: Mac SE floppy drive only accepts 400k/800k floppy disks, Mac Performa 6200CD floppy drive only accepts 1.44 floppy disks.

Questions:

(a) Is there an external floppy drive that will connect to either computer and work with both types of floppy disks?

(b) Is there a Macintosh computer, that was manufactured during the transition from 400k/800k floppy disks to 1.44 floppy disks, that handles both types of floppy disks.

(c) Is it possible to connect the Mac SE and Mac Performa 6200CD together and transfer documents/applications between them? If so, what equipment is needed and how are they connected?

Try and Google to a site that gives you some space to put stuff. Upload to the site, and download to the other computer. I know such places exist, but I don't know the names of any, except I think you can do it at .Mac, but it's a pay site.
Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion, however, trying to upload and download files and apps with a Mac SE and a 14 baud modem is really, really slow and cumbersome. That's why I want to use floppy disks or connect the Mac SE and Mac Performa 6200CD together to make the transfers. :-)

Yeah, would be slow, but works, if nothing else happens. You can probably hook them together through the AppleTalk. Assign one computer as the master and the other as the guest (slave?). Don't know much about this. Check the Apple site too...............
