My mac is connect to a windows domain and I normally click on the hard disk then click on network then servers and my domain shows up. Now when I click on servers it only shows the local hard drive. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks..

Update to this issues:

The connection is only lost when the computer is reset. If I shut the computer down then boot it back up again it will show up. Any input on this???

What do you mean "reset"? Do you mean when it goes to sleep and is then woken up?

which OS is on the Mac? If it's Tiger there is a "recent items" in the apple menu, inside there is "recent servers" just get there and it will pull it back up. It can't stay connected if your computer is turned off, reset, or a sleep.

How we fixed it
I had to bind the computer to the domain with a windows account. I created a generic admin account that has access to the servers that they need to connect to. Then I went to Directory services in Utilities and binded that mac to the domain using the windows account I created. once I did this then my domain showed back up again in the network section and I was able to map printers, drives, and other things again.

Whao! That's very technical! Sorry, i forgot to mention that I'm just a lowly designer. Anyway I'll give it a go. I'll let you know how I get on.
