"minifinders"
This is a question for people with a bit of background knowledge with older macintosh computers.

I have recently found a disk for an old B&W game called "Dark Castle". I have a Macintosh LC running on system 7.0.1, and it seems that this computer should be able to run the game easily, as it's sequel Beyond Dark Castle works well on it as well.
However, any attempt to open the game ends with it just closing immediately.

I have the feeling this problem may be linked to the concept of "Minifinders", that have been mentioned about this program and others like it on other websites. The program comes with 2 other icons, one named "Finder", and the other named "System". I have no idea how to treat either of these to allow the program to run properly.

If anyone has any information on Minifinders, or knows any other reason the program may not be operating properly then please either post it here, or e-mail me. Thankyou.

You need to boot up to the application disk or "minifinder" to run the game. You can access the minifinder from the System menu.

I also came across this: http://homepage.mac.com/senorwences/...-floppies.html
check it out
