Unhappy Entourage missing data
I just experienced a big problem and I’m hoping someon might have an answer for me.

I have a Mac running OS X 10.3.9. I downloaded and installed a security update for Safari (v 1.3.2). Upon restarting my computer and launching Entourage (2004), all of my three accounts were missing, along with all of the accumulated emails and the many folders I had created to organize those emails.

I see the database in the Finder (Users/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Database), but Entourage can’t seem to read it. I've verified that the database was not corrupted.

I have since reconstructed two of my email accounts and am receiving new emails, but I really need to get to my old data. Does anyone know a way to get that data readable by the application?

Thank you.

Hi RXC:

I would try holding down the Option key while opening Entourage. This gives you a prompt to rebuild the database. Try the Typical first, then the Advanced if typical doesn't help.

Here is a link that explains more:

Best of luck.
