Wink airport software for older mac with new os
This is what I have: G4 Mac (bought in 2000) 450Mhz Power PC
OS: 10.4.3

I recently got Comcast wirless internet and found out that I need the old airport card (that they no longer even make)... NOT AIRPORT EXTREME!! I found it on eBay and it will be arriving in a day or so, but it does not come with the software.

After reviewing the apple website I'm not sure what version of the airport software I should download seeing that I have an older mac with a newer OS.

I know where to install the airport card, but have no idea what to do after that?!

Help?
Thanks MAC friends.

There's a good chance you'll need to do nothing. Once the card is installed the OS will probably already have what it needs to make it work. Short of that, this link may point you in the right direction (I can't check personally at the moment b/c my class is about to begin--sorry).

I hope I helped. And, for future reference, it's Mac, not MAC. This isn't Brown-shirted Mac Nazism bubbling to the surface (well, not solely, anyway). I tell you this because MAC means something different in computer parlance than Mac means.

MAC can mean Media Access Control, Message Authentication Code, Military Armistice Commission (if you're Korean, anyway--no, I'm not), etc. It never means Macintosh, though. And this might help you avoid confusion at a later date.
