Exclamation PLEASE HELP !! Microsoft Entourage problem !!
Hello ....

I set up Microsoft Entourage on my Mac G4, receiving messages from a school POP account. When it transfered all my messages from the POP server, it DELETED them all ...

i have decided I don't want to use Entourage and need my mail BACK to my POP server !!!

PLEASE tell me there is a way to do this . . . . . i can 'redirect' all the files, one by one, back to my email address, but it won't show the actual date the messages were sent . . . surely there's a way to just send them back over there !!!!!!

If I DELETE the POP account from Entourage, will it send my mails back to my POP server ??

this is a nightmare !! please help !!!!!!

thanks,

Kris

Hi, whatever you do don't delet the POP account from Entourage!

You need to keep them somewhere until this is sorted out and your mac G4 will do for now.

Firstly you need to go to prefs in your mail client on your G4 and deselect:

Remove copy from server after retrieving a message.

I'm not familiar with Entourage but there must be a similiar option.

Next, log into your schools POP account and look in the trash, hopefully the deleted messages are there, if not, it's beyond my knowledge if you can retrieve them.

If you can set up an iMap account in Entourage, do it as the messages stay on the server.
