What do you think of the new iPods?
Hi,

Just wondering what you all think of the new iPods (and iTunes). Personally, I think they're great, especially the 'mini-style' nano and the 'clip; iPod Shuffle.

Personally, I find it amusing that I always buy (or am given) an ipod right before they introduce new ones. I have a 20g 4th gen. ipod from right before the ipod photo was released - then they went color and I could have gotten a color for the same price as the oldie. Then, just this month I received an ipod nano 2g for my birthday, just a few weeks before the new release of the more-gig-bang-for-your-buck nanos. I considered trying to return the nano and exchange it for a new one, but realized that I really like the look of the black nano w/the metal backing, rather than the all-silver or all-color new nanos.

I just find it funny that I always get ipods right before a new one hits. I find it quite curious that they are now "grading" the different colors of nano - the cheapest can only be purchased in silver, the colors at the mid-level, and to get a black nano you need to splurge for the 8g.

But, I have heard Microsoft is almost finished brewing their counterpart to the ipod. Also, Sandisk released the Sansa, and it's actually really fabulous - I bought one for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves it - more extras than the nano, larger screen size, expandable memory, am/fm tuner, etc.

Just something to think about, what do you think?

iPod's are still the most popular MP3 players in the world - but I see your point.

I think they finally came close to the quality of creative's mp3 players.
