Solved: eMac / OS X Question
I just got a Emac with OS X (moof) @ a business auction buy out. Yet I have NO IDEA what the password is to log on...... I have the DVD with Tiger on it and I want to know how do I boot up from DVD/ CD ? I try to press C yet nothing happens.....

Can anyone help me ? I just want to reinstall teh O/S

Well, congrats on your purchase, and extra congrats for knowing "moof!"

The Tiger discs that you got, do they say on the surface that they're for a particular machine? If so, and it's a machine other than your exact machine they will not work.

The "C" key thing should work if the discs are appropriate for the machine.

Let us know more info, as well as how you progress.

Thanks a bunch.. Yeah I guess it's not a bootable DVD .......... Because I tried it a few times with no luck...... BUT I was able to crack the password so I'll just reinstall it.. Look for a new post from me soon
