Bumping your own thread thrice in one day, let alone within the span of six hours, isn't going to engender any warm, fuzzy feelings for you or your question. Patience is a virtue, especially when the "problem" you're having isn't a dire one that is keeping you from getting work done, but is merely a mildly disconcerting happenstance that only presents itself from time to time.**

Nonetheless, I will offer you some assistance. I don't know if it will prove helpful or not, as I've not had a dial-up connection for many, many years. But...

My guess would be to open up the Network pane in the System Preferences window and selecting "Network Port Configurations" in the "Show" menu. From there you can highlight whatever connections you wish to edit and then you can delete the information as necessary.

*Having formerly been the head of tech support for a software company I can tell you that people who present such problems in such a manner are frequently put to the back burner. And this is from people who get paid to give support. These environs are populated by people who offer help for gratis, on their own time, which may be spent doing far more important things than solving your issues for you, especially when there are other venues you can use (some of which offer paid services for little or no cost to you [say, an ISP that you are already paying for services or an AppleCare plan that may still be in effect for your particular computer).

**I don't hold much hope that these words will hold any sway with you, but they will be seen by others who might be tempted to be similarly impetuous and will give their impulses a second (or third) thought. Forgive me for my lack of faith in you. And, by all means, feel free to prove me wrong. This is one thing about which I'll gladly admit error.

I have windows so can tell you how on a Mac.
But in windows open my computer and dial-up folder and your see the account you had and you can just delete it.
It does not take up but very little space and if you are now on cable then just unplug the phone line from your computer and then you know that nothing can use your dial up modem.

WILL_5600...I might be able to help you with your problem, but I can't read your questions. Try retyping your questions in at least a 5th grade writing level, and maybe someone will respond. As it is, your spelling and writing is illegible, that's why no one is giving a response. However, my best guess as to what you are saying says that you are trying to delete an old dial up connection. Here is what you should do.

1. Open up your System Preferences and click on the Network icon
2. Choose Network Port Configurations from the "Show" dropdown menu.
3. Unselect all of the port configurations except for the dial-up configurations, and hit the delete button on the screen, just to the right of the port configurations area.

Let us know how it works out for you! Good luck!!
