Specific Pop-Up Issue
Okay, I have a very specific security question about a situation I am having with a Macbook.

When I visit the local sporting club website: www.eesa.ca on my Mac, I get pop-ups from registrarads.com. I've got two computers and three browsers and this is the behaviour:

Mac using Firefox: tries to popup a window with the ads. The first time, I let it through because I know the site. When I realized they were popups I blocked it again. Viewing html shows the code that calls the ads in Javascript.

Mac using Safari: no popup. Viewing htm shows the code that calls the ads in Javascript.

Compaq using IE7: no popup. Viewing HTML does not show the code that calls the ads in Javascript.

So my question is, did my Mac get infected with adware/spyware (which I thought was extremely unlikely), or is this something to do with the site and how the various browsers handle it.

Certainly, the first scenario is more concerning to me.

Any help is appreciated!

Andrew

I doubt it is spyware.

Without seeing the code, some sites actually reload different pages, or embed browser/OS specific code all the time.
