Seeking Advice: Upgrade PowerMac G4
I plan to start using my PowerMac G4 to edit video.

Is it possible to upgrade my CPU from the current 1.42 GHz?

edit your post and take out the serial number.

dependingx on the video your trying to edit (what resolution) you may want to just get a better video card or a better mac. if your trying to edit High Def (1280x720 progressive) or Standard Def (640x480 Interlaced or progressive)

First thing is AT LEAST double your ram. and than get a Nvidia Geforce 4600 ti (if you already don't) that should help your computer with the video editing.

If you are trying to edit higher resolution videos I would go with a intel iMac or a G5 tower (depending on your preferance/ monitary supply)
