G3 Imac won't boot
This G3 imac will not boot up when you turn it on you get the nice little mac start up chime then the screen goes to a folder and it flashes between a question mark, and a smiley face thing. I have tried many things to get it running, I have no idea what to do. I need to get this running really soon. Thanks in advance please help asap!

It sounds like the operating system is corrupt or possibly the hard drive has gone bad. Have you tried reinstalling the operating system from the system cds that came with the machine?
