Question CS3 and Scanners
Hi There,

I just installed Adobe Creative Suite CS3 on my Mac Mini.

Photoshop is refusing to recognise that I've got a scanner.. I've reinstalled all programmes and drivers for it twice to no avail.

I'm having to go though the scanner utils which is all very inconvenient.

Any suggestions?

First off... what is the model of the scanner?

Here are some suggestions, if you have the resources to do so:

1) Sounds elementary, but be 100% sure the scanner is ON. Hopefuly it has a power light, just in case the scan lamp doesn't come on when idle.

2) Try a different signal cable

3) Try to see if any other software recognizes that you have a scanner attached (preferably NOT a CS3 app)

4) Try the scanner on a different computer.

Let me know what you try and what the results are.

Nic

figured it out today (has taken a while!)

being an intel mac, running Photoshop in Rosetta means that it's picked up no problems.

just go to photoshop App icon.. right-click> Get Info> check 'run in rosetta'

for anyone else having problem!
