If you need to resize the .jpg to email. Open iPhoto and select the .jpg you want to email.
At the bottom of the screen, click the Email button to open the Mail Photo screen.
From the Mail Photo screen, choose the size you want your picture to be in the Size:
drop down box, then click Compose.
A email message window will open with your resized picture attached.

Nah, cheers for the help but I need it for an avatar. I tried that, but I couldn't select a pixel size. So I need a programme or another method.

in iPhoto, select the photo, go to the file menu, choose export. make sure you are on file export, and set your pixel size on the scale images option.

you can also get Gimp, the open source photoshop replacement. It is available for OS X as well

My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.
