Mac Font problem
I have a music template from a client which calls for HOEFLER TEXT ITALIC 13 PLAIN font for the text portions.

In the Finale font list of the template (choosing font from the Text - Font menu), it shows only HOEFLER TEXT in plain type, and all the others (HoeflerText-Italic, HoeflerText-Roman, etc) are shown in italic, indicating I do not have those fonts. However, in my Mac Font Book I show I have all forms of the Hoefler font in my system.

Even AppleWorks 6 only shows the basic Hoefler font in its font list.

How do I get my my applications to recognize the fonts in my Font Book?

Have you tried to copy everything into a new document? Then when your paste it use; paste match style.
