strange question... external monitor
I have an older apple power book ( four or so years ) and the monitor had a bad sauter connection. for the sake of simplicity and not wanting to waste too much time on it, we hooked it up to an external monitor. meanwhile my husband removes the original screen completely. now comes the horrible problem, we moved and tried to set it up and i fear the screen preferences have gone back to default. the computer is clearly running normally but the external monitor does not show the desktop. if i cannot see what i am doing i cannot change the monitor settings. is there some kind of hotkey i can press to switch to the external monitor or do i have > major problem on my hands?

sorry if this is at all unclear i am using my nintendo wii as my internet connect at the moment. thanks in advance!!
