iLife 08
so, has anyone installed iLife 08 yet? im not too close to an apple store so I had to order it yesterday. I hope it gets here quick.

It sure looks cool, doesn't it! I love iPhoto and GarageBand, they're the two I use most. I just mastered iPhoto after a year of frustration - I now have it under control .... The new features of iPhoto and iMovie look great but I'll realistically just stick with what I've got .... probably upgrade eventually but just not now when Tiger and iLife '07 are still relatively fresh for me ...

I thought there was no such thing as '07? I think Apple skipped from '06 to '08,

it is iLife 08. but its version 7.

and i just heard iMovie doesnt have timeline??? but you can keep iMovie 06 or download it for free if you buy iLife 08.

I heard a lot of complaints about iMovie '08. The rest looks pretty good.


It makes me mad that I bought a Mac just a few days before this was released.
Oh well...

Call Apple (not the store, the hq) and explain that to them and see if they'll upgrade you for free or for a discounted price. They did it for me once, a very long time ago. They may not, but better to find out than not!

Pretty good review, though I don't like the A+ he gave iMovie. I don't think getting rid of the timeline was good, though rewriting iMovie it was.

i agree. im missing timeline but I really like the rewrite and the UI is very nice.
